I just wanted to show everyone the progress that I’ve been making on my new Raspberry Pi software to control brewing and fermentation temperature. I’ve still been dealing with ‘real life’ and also some performance problems in the pi.
I set out to make something that could be easily ported to any other linux-based development board (beagle bone and the like) so I built it using Python, Django, Postgres, as well as HTML5 and JQuery. I’ll be posting a beta as soon as I possibly can. Stay tuned!
Fermentation Page with 3 temperature probes configured as well as 2 ‘SSR’ heater/chiller controllers.
Brewing Page with 2 Brewing configurations defined. This one has 3 temperature probes, as well as an SSR for the Boil and HLT.
Configuration is currently done through the standard Django admin page, but it uses Django Suit to make it easier to do. This will be moved at some point into an easier to use page.
